This is a cross sample of some of my metal assembledge or metal machinations as I like to call them. I love finding metal discards, offcuts, scrap, obsolete engineered objects, disassemblies and good ol plain garage sale/flea bag finds. I horde these objects which get under foot and take up geography in my studio. After days.weeks, months of metal inertia and flip observance I concieve of a form or theme for a project and get to it in the metal shop. Most(sic) of these pieces come together quickly with the help of some uplifting beverage and some motivational music. I think midnight to 3 am is my most productive time in the shop. I have built items for art shows the night before, it arrives with fresh grinding marks and the clear lacquer still sticky. Because my other passion involves planning prep and scheduleing up the yin-yang my metal art reflects more spontaneous flurry's.

hope you enjoy/
